With effect from 19 December 2017, OKE Group GmbH has taken over Wilhelm Schröder GmbH, headquartered in Herscheid, thus continuing its growth.
Wilhelm Schröder specializes in component solutions and system assemblies for the automotive and the household appliances industry. But even small parts such as door lock components, hybrid solutions for vacuum cleaners to housing parts for bluetooth control units are part of the product portfolio. With the acquisition of Schröder, 140 new employees join the OKE Group.
As an expert in the field of hybrid technology, Wilhelm Schröder produces metal-plastic hybrids and combines different technologies, materials and processes. This creates new, advantageous product properties. The goal is always a rational and cost-effective production through an optimal material selection and a material reduction and weight savings to the elimination of individual components.
The OKE Group GmbH, headquartered in Hörstel, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of plastic components for the automotive and furniture industries. Founded in 1961 in Osnabrück, the company employs around 1900 people, of whom 460 work at its headquarters in Hörstel. Locations in Brazil, China, Korea, Portugal, South Africa and Slovakia ensure efficient delivery to international customers with standard and special plastic components. Almost all well-known car and furniture manufacturers are part of the customer base of the company. But other sectors also benefit from the development and production expertise at OKE (www.oke-group.com).
Centum Capital initiated this transaction in 2017 and advised the seller until successful completion.
